Le Grand Sud – 4 jours – Ouarzazate à Ouarzazate
1- Ouarzazate Erfoud
The first step starts with a visit to the large Lake of
Ouarzazate. Then the palm grove of Skoura which leads to the
Valley of Roses. Afterwards, a visit to the panoramic sceneries of
Dades Gorges. A visit to Todra Gorges allows room for an
unforgettable lunch "break". After that, the trip continues
towards ERFOUD.
2- Erfoud Merzouga (Via Rissani)
A really interesting stage
starting with a visit to Rissani city, situated in the middle of
Tafilalet palm grove. This town is the oldest imperial one,
surrounded with hundred of Kasbahs and Ksours. A very generous
Touareg family hosts you for lunch. They serve a delicious local
"PIZZA". Then you take the track which goes to Merzouga. Come to
watch the beautiful golden rays of the sunset and enjoy a dream
night in a bivouac at the bottom of the famous Erg-Chebbi Dunes.
3-Merzouga Zagora
The journey is rich with the immensely extended landscapes and
dark stones. A visit to Tazarine where to have
lunch and to rest for a while.
4- Zagora Ouarzazate
You start this stage from Draa valley, you drive through Agdez and
then you get to Ouarzazate.
